Our Process
What to expect
Our company specializes in complete home window replacement. This means we measure, remove old windows, install the new windows and finish the trim, window sills and any siding or sheet-rock and painting that completes the process. Unlike some window replacement companies who only swap out windows, our team of craftsman give you a fully finished and beautiful window including window sills.
1. Plan & Design
We begin by making an appointment to see your project and get measurements. We then work up an estimate and talk about what type of windows you would like. Ordering the windows and setting up a time for the install is next, and finally we come to do the complete window swap out.
2. Choosing Materials
Unlike many window replacement companies, we not only replace the windows, but we will do paint/stain matching of all trim, siding and sheet-rock patching and custom window sills. If your old windows have leaked and caused damage in the sill we will repair that before installing the new windows to ensure the integrity of your home.
We install any window line of your choice. We typically recommend a high quality window line like Anderson or Milgaurd Windows for our Alaskan climate to save you money on heating costs and a quality that will hold up over the long term.
Building Phase
During the project we make sure to protect your home by installing zippered walls, dust proofing measures like air scrubbers and negative pressure fans and floor covering protection. We have everything ready so when the old window comes out, the new one is in place in only minutes. This is why we can easily replace old windows even in the winter without causing significant heat loss to your home during the process. When the window replacement is complete, we finish out the window sills and the exterior trim for a beautiful new look.
